Erick is a sweet, innovative, young man from Laini Saba, part of the Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya. He has his own business selling shoes online to those living around Nairobi. He moved to Nanyuki in 2021 to continue with our Artisan Program. He frequently travels to Kibera to see his mother, younger brother, and older sister. He uses the money he makes from his business and the exquisite jewelry he makes to support his mother in paying her expenses and sending his siblings to school. Eric is also the school’s soccer coach. His career goal is to become a teacher.
