Hellen has been in our artisan program for 2 years and has beautifully learned the skill of sewing. She made our gorgeous Botanical Crossbody Purses this year. Her favorite product to make are our Patchwork Aprons because they are fun to create and sew. During her free time she likes doing salon work as her hobby. She feels empowered in learning to sew as this skill has provided her dignified employment and has helped her send her son to school. Since joining GORP, her perspective about life has changed because she now has hope about life. She has a goal to become self-employed and start her own business. She wants to buy her own sewing machine and become a designer.
