William creates all of the bone beads for our pieces. The bone is cleaned and boiled in peroxide, sanded, and then carved into the beautiful pieces you see in our jewelry. For designs and texture, some beads are given a wax design and dipped in brown dye to create two tones. William lives in Kibera and is using the opportunities at Grain of Rice Project to help provide for his family.
